Product identity and trust
Branded perfume samples vs inspired samples
An original-brand sample and an inspired sample are different fragrances even when they refer to a similar direction. Branded is ambiguous unless the seller states whose product the liquid actually is.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Check the actual maker
An inspired perfume can have its own brand. Its label does not make it an official sample of the referenced designer.
Compare identity before price
Record maker, exact version, sample volume and source description. Similar notes do not prove equal formula or contents.
Use trials appropriately
A sample informs a purchase of the matching product. It cannot guarantee the experience of another maker's perfume.
At a glance
| Offer | Identity to check | What the description does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Official brand sample | Maker and exact version | That every seller's claim is verified |
| Third-party decant | Claimed source and transfer information | Origin from the word decant alone |
| Inspired sample | Actual maker and own-product name | Identical designer formula or affiliation |
Try this before you buy
Write whose fragrance each sample contains before comparing prices or choosing a later bottle.
