Use the amount and method specified for the exact solid perfume. Balm texture, composition and applicator differ, so neither a universal swipe nor a gram-to-spray conversion gives a reliable routine for every product.

Read whether the maker specifies a fingertip or another applicator and which areas the cosmetic is intended for. A scented balm is not automatically multipurpose.
Evaluate a restrained trial
Keep the scent separate from other unfamiliar products and observe its later character. Application convenience does not establish a fixed level of projection.
Keep handling appropriate
Close the case and follow storage directions between uses. Applying more is not a solution to a handling or product-condition question.
