Application and care
How to layer perfumes for beginners
For a beginner, layering is optional exploration after you know each fragrance individually. Start with a clear scent idea and keep products in their own containers rather than mixing liquids into a new formula.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Learn both scents first
Notice each opening and later character separately. Two favorites do not automatically produce a favorite combination.
Keep the experiment manageable
Use only products as directed on a suitable ordinary day. Avoid introducing several new variables before a social event.
Consider total presence
Layering adds to the overall application. Shared spaces may call for less fragrance or none.
Try this before you buy
Write the single impression you want a combination to add before deciding whether layering is necessary.
