Storage guides
How to store perfume oil
Store a finished perfume oil in its intended closed container and follow its label's conditions for light, temperature and shelf life. Oil-based does not mean maintenance-free, and a raw material may have different instructions from a cosmetic perfume.

Identify the finished product
Keep the label showing intended use and formulation details. Do not mix storage assumptions for essential oils, home fragrances and personal perfume oils.
Protect the closure and applicator
Secure the roller, dabber or dropper as designed. Follow handling directions and avoid unnecessary contact with the dispensing parts.
Retain product-specific dates
Use the maker's expiry or period-after-opening guidance where supplied. A generic oil category is not enough to establish how long a particular product remains usable.
Try this before you buy
Record the exact oil's intended use, opening information and supplied storage directions in one place.
