Scent fit
How to tell if woody perfumes suit my skin
A woody perfume suits your scent preferences when you enjoy its changing wood character during ordinary wear. That judgment is separate from whether the ingredients are suitable for your skin.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Choose a wood texture
Compare dry cedar-like character with creamy sandalwood or smoky woods. Disliking one texture does not rule out the whole woody family.
Follow the supporting notes
Spice, citrus and sweetness can change your experience of the wood. Record the complete later scent rather than judging a single listed ingredient.
Separate comfort from preference
A pleasant smell cannot establish ingredient compatibility. Stop using a product that causes irritation; persistent or recurrent symptoms warrant qualified advice.
Try this before you buy
Describe the wood texture at the start and later, then decide whether you would wear it again.
