Day-long trials
How to test oil perfumes through the day
Test a finished perfume oil by recording its own directions, applicator and later scent. An oil carrier does not guarantee duration, and a contact application is not automatically equivalent to a spray dose.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Check intended personal use
A raw fragrance material or home-scent oil is different from a cosmetic perfume oil. Use only the intended finished product according to its label.
Separate mechanism and smell
Record roller, dabber or another presentation, then describe the actual scent. Applicator convenience and fragrance preference are different observations.
Follow the later experience
Record close-range scent, contextual presence and enjoyment without assuming that quietness means complete absence. Keep another format comparison separate.
Try this before you buy
Save carrier information and the actual application method beside each later-wear observation.
