Test samples one at a time, keeping exact names and application details with your observations. A small tester can teach you about the fragrance, but its atomizer should not be assumed to deliver the same amount as every full bottle.

Save the selection list
Match maker and version to each tester before beginning. Similar-looking vials can otherwise leave you unsure which fragrance you enjoyed.
Use an uncomplicated trial
Follow directions and avoid another unfamiliar fragrance. Record the opening, later character and presence at observation points chosen for your routine.
Return to favorites
Retest the strongest candidates before choosing a bottle. Keep the product link with the notes so the later purchase matches the actual sample.
Try this before you buy
Create one wear-log entry per sample with its exact name and a link to the matching product.
