How to use perfume oil
Use a finished perfume oil according to its label and application mechanism. A cosmetic perfume oil is different from a raw fragrance material or undiluted essential oil; do not substitute one for the other based only on the word oil.

Check the finished product
Confirm that it is intended for personal fragrance use and read the stated application areas. A home-scent oil or formulation ingredient is not the same product.
Use the supplied mechanism
A roller, dabber or other dispenser has its own directions. Keep the closure secure and avoid assuming a fixed number of drops equals an application from a spray bottle.
Keep comparisons clear
Try the oil separately from other unfamiliar scents and note the later impression. Carrier type alone does not establish how quietly or how long it will wear.
Try this before you buy
Record the labelled purpose and applicator before testing a finished perfume oil on its own.
