Understanding fading
Why do woody perfumes fade quickly
A woody perfume can seem to fade when its surrounding presence becomes quieter or your perception changes. The woody label does not guarantee a particular duration, so describe what remains before concluding that the entire scent has gone.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Identify the wood impression
Dry, smooth and smoky textures are different references. Write which quality became less noticeable rather than treating every wood-containing composition as the same formula.
Check close range separately
A later woody trace is different from projection around you. Record both outcomes so a quieter phase is not automatically scored as complete disappearance.
Repeat a clear trial
Keep the exact product and application recorded and avoid adding another new fragrance. Similar ordinary conditions make your next observation more useful.
Try this before you buy
Record wood texture, surrounding presence and later close-range scent as three separate observations.
